Mr. Cimino-Johnson received his Master of Arts from New York University in Drama Therapy and his Bachelors of Arts in Theatre Arts with a minor in Psychology from McDaniel College. Over the past seven years, Mr. Cimino-Johnson has utilized theatre as a vehicle for self-expression, while creating a safe space for a diverse group of students within the academic venue. Mr. CJ founded Rock Ridge Performing Arts at Rock Ridge High School. Over 20% of the school is engaged in the theatre program. Additionally, in 2015, his production of "Ernest and the Pale Moon" won the Virginia Theatre Association State Festival and the South Eastern Theatre Conference in 2016. In 2016, Mr. CJ received International Inspirational Theatre Educator of the Year for 2016, and Virginia's Theatre Teacher of the Year from the Educational Theatre Association in 2017.

Miss Hess joined Rock Ridge Performing Arts for its inaugural season as a member of the audition panel for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. She continued her involvement with Rock Ridge as a choreographer and member of the directing team for Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid and as a member of the audition panel for the main stage productions. In the fall of 2016 Miss Hess joined the Fine Arts department as a full-time theater teacher, teaching both acting and technical theater classes. She oversees the costume, hair, make-up, and props design teams.

Addie Schafer Benko is a Virginia Educator who has directed theatre and taught in K-12 classrooms for the last 6 years in Loudoun County. Addie received her Master's in Education as well as BA in English and Theatre from the College of William and Mary. Addie is also a National Geographic Educator and was a 2019 fellow. Addie was a Fulbright Teacher in 2015 in Malaysia. She travels and teaches English as well as arts skills nationally as well as internationally. She has accepted an Executive Director position with Virginia Thespians and will help with Broadway Bound summer camps as the Assistant Artistic Director. She is excited to join RRPA and the talented staff as well as campers to contribute to the summer productions.

Katie Rivers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 25 years experience working with children and families. She and her daughter have been a part of RRPA Broadway Bound since the first year. Katie brings an expertise in child development, behavior modification and classroom management to our program. Moment to moment Katie is available to assist with emotions, cheer on and motivate the campers and assist in keeping everyone safe. Her energy in the morning puts smiles on faces and in the afternoon sends everyone home full of joy

Katie is a rising Junior studying Musical Theatre at PACE University. She was a member of RRPA from her freshman year all the way through her senior year, performing and being a designer for over 20 productions. Katie lead the marketing team, served on the student board in many different roles, and choreographed. She enjoyed choreographing at all three Broadway Bound camps last year, and is so excited to join the Moana Jr. family this summer!

Farley is a current BFA Acting major at Oklahoma City University. He graduated from Rock Ridge in 2020 having played the roles of Peter Pan (Peter Pan: A Steampunk Adventure), Shrek (Shrek The Musical), Mr. Hart (9 to 5), and more. He's had a joy working with all the campers and can't wait for you to see the culmination of their hard work!

Ellie Schubert is a graduating senior at Rock Ridge. You may recognize her from her role as Paulette in Legally Blonde, and Calliope in Xanadu. Ellie has been a member of the marketing team as well as Rock Ridge Sings, Rock Ridge Yearbook, and Student Council Association. This fall, she plans to pursue music production and music business. She’s so excited to spend the summer creating magic on stage!

Jason is a rising freshman at VCUarts and a recent RRPA alumni. His first show with RRPA was Newsies during his freshman year, and he has gotten involved with every production since. You may recognize Jason from one of his roles in RRPA including Chad from High School Musical 2. In addition to performing, Jason spent a lot of his time in the program leading the marketing team; serving as the Chief Content Officer since his sophomore year and Marketing Chair since his junior year. This will be his 4th year with Broadway Bound and he looks forward to seeing all the new and returning faces!

Recent Rock Ridge Performing Arts Alumni, Kylie Miller is excited to share her passion for marketing and digital media with Broadway Bound. Kylie has been an active member of the Rock Ridge Performing Arts Marketing Team since the beginning of her sophomore year, and served as their Director of Digital Media and Design. Elle began her performing arts journey as a dancer. As a classical and contemporary dancer at Ashburn Academy of Dance, Elle became interested in Musical Theatre after training with Broadway choreographer and director, Lisa Stevens and her Broadway Bound Intensive Workshops. Joining RRPA the Spring of her freshman year, Elle has collaborated in and solely choreographed several dance numbers in Legally Blonde, The Musical, Newsies, RENT, High School Musical 2, and Peter Pan, A Steampunk Adventure. You may have also seen her as Katherine in Newsies, and Gabriella in High School Musical 2. Elle attends Wagner College in Staten Island, NYC studying Theatre Performance and minoring in Danceaff.

Jacob has been in the theater for the past six years constantly working at his craft as a performer and expanding on his knowledge of the arts. He has been apart of choirs, cabarets, musicals, plays, and student works. Jacob has also been apart of the Virginia Thespians Society where this past year he served as a State Thespian Officer, now after graduating he helped create the Alumni Board where he currently sits as a member. This is not his first time working with RRPA, in 2019 he was apart of the Virginia Thespians All-State Musical "Rent" hosted by RRPA, and in 2021 he was an intern for the Moana summer camp at RRPA! Jacob will continue to pursue his BFA in Musical Theatre at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC this coming Fall. Jacob is really excited to be back at RRPA this coming summer!

Nico Zavala is a Vocal Music Education and Psychology student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a proud RRPA and Rock Ridge Sings alumni, participating in over 30 shows and concerts in his time with the program. He is the music director and music arranger of his on-campus Acapella group, Harmonic Notion. In his free time, he enjoys photography, writing music, tutoring music theory, and watching Netflix.

Elle Hardesty is a recent graduate of Rock Ridge High School. As a dancer, she is a senior performance company member of the JaM Youth Project, a pre-professional tap dance company. In high school, Elle has designed costumes for some and has performed in multiple RRPA productions including Xanadu and Matilda, where she has had the opportunity of being assistant choreographer and student choreographer, respectively. Elle has loved spending her summers with Broadway Bound and can’t wait for another great year! She plans on continuing performing in the future, and majoring in dance at college in the fall.

STEPHANIE CARLOCK (Vocal Director) is thrilled to be back with Rock Ridge Performing Arts, having served as a vocal director since the beginning of Broadway Bound. Ms. Carlock graduated from University of Delaware with a Bachelors in Music Education with a concentration in voice and euphonium. She received her Masters of Music Education from the University of Florida and teaches orchestra in Harford County, Maryland. Ms. Carlock has been the musical director for numerous productions and plays piano frequently in pit orchestras at schools and community theaters. She is also a member of the board of directors for Tidewater Players.

Bailee Davis is a third year Dance Performance major at Oklahoma City University. She has been training in ballet, tap, jazz, and theatre dance since she was four years old. She is very passionate about performing and sharing her appreciation for dance with children. Bailee wants to inspire and help young performers grow and express their love for being onstage. When she isn't dancing you will often find her crafting or at a coffee shop. She is so excited to create a fun and inspiring environment to work in this summer.

Tommy is a rising Senior at Ohio University where he is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre. He is an avid performer and traveler, having been raised in Vermont he has performed in many musicals, choirs, and bands from New Hampshire and New York all the way to Ohio. Though not originally from Virginia, he is excited to be back with the RRPA Broadway Bound family for his second year!

Lauren is a current senior at Ohio University pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater. She is also a proud RRPA alum, having appeared as Margo in "Bright Star", Violet in "9 to 5", Wednesday Addams in "The Addams Family", and Kala in "Tarzan: The Musical." This is her seventh year participating in Broadway Bound, and she couldn’t be more excited to see how both old and new campers will grow this summer!

Crystal Claros recently graduated from Millikin University and has obtained their BFA in Musical Theatre! They have a passion for performance and is working on being a chicago-based actor and comedian. RRPA has been a part of Crystal's career since they were a freshman at Rock Ridge High School. Mrs. Ratcliff is so excited to teach Broadway Bound Kids this year! Mrs. Ratcliff has taught 6 years at Newton-Lee and in Loudoun County. Mrs. Ratcliff earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Florida State University in 2014 and her Masters of Music Education with a concentration in Orff Schulwerk from George Mason University in 2018.
Mrs. Ratcliff studied the Orff Schulwerk approach to music education through AOSA (American Orff Schulwerk Association) and the Mason Academy of the Arts. She earned her Orff Schulwerk certification in the summer of 2017 after completing all three levels of training. She combines music, movement, drama, and speech into lessons that are similar to a child's world of play. She focuses on student driven instruction and incorporates individual and group improvisation experiences. |
Megan is a rising Sophomore at Virginia Tech pursuing a Public Relations Major, with a minor in Entertainment Marketing. Over her four years at Rock Ridge she has been involved in over ten shows, playing characters such as Doralee (9 to 5) and Sharpay (High School Musical Two). Outside of theatre she was involved in the student council association, and was Captain of the Varsity Cheerleading team.

Julia Kuzmich is a student at Ohio University where she studies musical theatre with a certificate in health and wellness within the performing arts. At Ohio University she has been in several theatre and dance productions as well as films. During her sophomore year she served as the dance captain in "Spring Awakening" and has portrayed Natasha in the first ever collegiate production of "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812."

Noam Denenberg is a graduate from College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, and received his BFA in Scenic Design. For the past 8 years, Noam has designed and assisted on numerous productions, receiving various recognitions and awards for his work. Noam has been a part of Broadway Bound since its inception and is looking forward to another year of creating memories, continuing to share his love for design, and hopefully inspiring the next generation of artists!

Chris is a rising sophomore at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) majoring in music education. This will be Chris’s fifth year with the Broadway Bound Summer Camp and he is very excited to be back! Chris has been a part of RRPA's productions of Mary Poppins, Newsies, and High School Musical 2 and Broadway Bound's productions of Aladdin Jr., Mulan Jr., Frozen Jr., and Moana Jr. in both musician and technical roles.
