Dual Enrollment Intro to Theatre Class Presents "And" - A Thought-Provoking Production to Compete at VHSL Theatre Competition

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming production of "And," a compelling and thought-provoking play performed by our talented Dual Enrollment Intro to Theatre Class. The performance is scheduled for October 24th at 7:00 pm in the theatre at RRHS. This captivating production will not only showcase the students' exceptional acting abilities but also serve as their entry for the VHSL Theatre Competition.
"And" follows the journey of Aaron, a character grappling with profound thoughts about the vastness of existence. Troubled by billions of simultaneous moments, ranging from the comedic to the tragic, the life-changing to the mundane, Aaron finds himself burdened with an overwhelming revelation. Throughout the play, he engages in a mental exercise, attempting to come to terms with the fact that he was engrossed in a video game while a harrowing event unfolded in the adjacent room, involving his sister.
Under the guidance of our dedicated theater faculty, the Dual Enrollment Intro to Theatre Class has poured their hearts and souls into bringing "And" to life. The play delves deep into complex emotions and challenges the audience to contemplate the intricacies of life's juxtapositions.
"We are immensely proud of our students' dedication and hard work in crafting this powerful production," said Cimino-Johnson, the instructor leading the Dual Enrollment Intro to Theatre Class. "'And' is a poignant exploration of human experiences and the impact of coexisting moments, demanding a profound emotional connection from both the actors and the audience."
The performance of "And" is not only an opportunity for the students to showcase their talents, but it also serves as their entry for the prestigious VHSL Theatre Competition. The competition provides a platform for young artists to present their theatrical skills and storytelling abilities on a larger stage.
We invite all theater enthusiasts and supporters of the arts to join us on October 24th at 7:00 pm in the RRHS Auditorium to witness this captivating performance. Tickets can be purchased online at rrpa.booktix.com or at the venue's box office on the day of the event.
