Social Distancing Procedures
IF A CASE OCCURS:
LCPS MANDATORY GUIDELINES:
- A face covering must be worn over nose and mouth at all times while inside the building. Visitors should provide their own face covering
- Groups may not be larger than expressed by the Governor, the LCHD, and LCPS of the interior space or outdoor area capacity
- Before entering the building, visitors should assess their health using the following questions:
- Do you have a temperature of 100°F or above?
- Do you have a new cough, shortness of breath, or new sore throat that cannot be attributed to another health condition?
- Do you have gastrointestinal symptoms, including nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, that cannot be attributed to another health condition?
- Do you have new nasal congestion, a new runny nose, or a new loss of smell or taste?
- Do you have new muscle aches or any other sign of illness?
- Have you had contact with someone in the previous 14 days with either a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 or who is ill with a respiratory illness?
- If the answer to any of these questions is yes, please remain at home
- If you have had a positive COVID test in the past 14 days and/or have had a fever in the last 3 days, please remain at home
- Avoid directly touching shared items or equipment whenever possible
- Observe rigorous hand-washing methods
- Please follow all signage where applicable
Social Distancing Procedures
- No Students from out of state will be permitted.
- Each day we will monitor the health of the staff and campers
- We will screen all staff and campers daily for symptoms and possible exposure to COVID-19, using questions recommended by CDC. Staff or children who have tested positive for COVID-19, are symptomatic, or who have had a known exposure to a confirmed case of COVID-19 will be excluded to this year’s camp according to CDC guidance. We will keep a log of temperature and symptom screening for campers daily and maintain confidentiality of these records.
- All Staff will be required to wear a face covering, which may include a mask, a face shield or both.
- All students will be required to wear a face shield for singing purposes. Face Shields will not be provided and can be found online.
- No individuals outside of the Camp (either staff or student) will be permitted to interact with the students or staff during Camp Hours. Including during pick-up and drop off. All persons must remain in their cars.
- We will implement the following prevention and mitigation strategies to slow and limit COVID-19 Exposure and Spread.
- Cover your cough
- Practice recommended regular and routine handwashing practices
- Avoid use of items that are not easily cleaned and disinfected
- Practice proper use, removal, and washing of cloth face coverings.
- Post signs with Covid-19 prevention and control practices
- Provide policies and education on COVID-19 prevention and control practices
- Ensure adequate supplies of tissues, hand soap, alcohol based hand sanitizer and household cleaning products suited for the facility.
IF A CASE OCCURS:
- We will quarantine following the CDC Guidelines
- Individuals may not work at or attend until completing self-quarantine and obtaining clearance from the individual’s primary care physician
- Follow exposure control plans in the camp’s health program.
- Communicate with the local health department and parents
- Based on consultation with the local health department, the entire facility may be closed based on the level of contact and exposure.
- Wait 24 hours, then complete extra cleaning/disinfection of the facility.
- If a staff member or a child develops symptoms of COVID-19 during the day, we will safely isolate the person and ensure they are wearing a mask or face covering.
- Contact the Director of Health and Safety, and the parent/guardian and arrange for safe transportation to a healthcare facility or home.
- No parent will be allowed out of the car during drop off or pick up.
- Students will be greeted by a staff member or booster parent.
- The student’s temperature will be taken, and they will be required to fill out a symptom checker. Students may start arriving 15 minutes prior to rehearsal, but all rehearsal doors will be locked 5 minutes after we begin.
- Students with fevers will not be permitted out of the car
- Students with coughs will not be permitted out of the car
- Students will arrive on a staggered schedule based on their specific cast.
- Casts will report directly to their designated rehearsal room.
- Cast Members are required to bring their own large water bottles.
- Frequent breaks will be provided. Cleaning will occur at that time which may include but not be limited to disinfecting high contact surfaces.
- Students must have an easily identifiable and unique reusable water bottle.
- Early Pick-Up must be arranged at least 24 hours in advance. No parents will be permitted into the building. You must call a designated phone number, to be provided, and your child will be brought to you.
- Students will be expected to wear face coverings during performances. This may include a mask and/or a face shield.
- 5 Handheld Microphones on stands will be placed at the front of the stage.
- Soloists will stand at the microphone to sing their solo. They will not be allowed to touch the microphone.
- No Wireless microphones will be worn by the performers.
- Choreography will respect appropriate social distancing.
- Students must wait in their designated holding area in the hallway. An adult tech crew member will welcome the student backstage prior to their performance time. Video and Sound monitors will also be provided in the holding area.
- Students will have a minimum of 3 Scenes/Songs
- No Intermission will be allowed.
- All staging will reflect social distancing guidelines.
- Depending on which phase VA is in will determine whether or not we will be able to have a live audience.
- We will be able to provide Streaming codes to parents and families around the globe to be broadcasted. They will be able to watch the performances at a later date.
- There will be no intermission.
- There will be no concessions.
- Audience members, if permitted to watch the production, must be socially distanced in every direction. A limited number of audience members will be allowed into the theatre. Members of the same household may sit together as long as they remain social distance procedures from other families.
- All tickets will be electronic, no paper tickets will be allowed and the box office will be closed. No tickets will be sold at the door.
- All Playbills will be virtual. Students will receive 1 Handheld Commemorative Playbill for keepsake, but no playbills will be provided to parents.
- Due to the cross-contamination challenges of costuming, students will be given a recommendation for costuming choices, but will be required to costume themselves.
- If a wig is provided for a cast member, it will only be worn by that cast member and never shared.
- Limited props may be used.
- There will be a “Clean” designated table, and a “Used” designated table. Once a prop is used, it will be placed on the “Used” designated table and cleaned immediately by an adult. Students may not touch the props on the “Used” table.
- Props will not be shared by students without having been cleaned first.
- Set pieces will be limited in scope.
- Only 1 designer may touch the lighting board.
- Spot Lights will be cleaned after each use.
- Lighting will be used at its full capacity
