STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Jack Capobianco chief executive officer Jack Capobianco is a senior at Rock Ridge High School and has been in leadership since his sophomore year. He has been in many productions for Rock Ridge Performing Arts as an actor on stage and as a technical design and production student behind the scenes. He has acted in 16 productions and is proud to say he has grown a lot in his musical theater abilities. Because of acting, he has found his true passion, lighting design. Jack began his lighting design journey with “Descendants: The Musical” and has been the lighting designer for eight other productions. He later won a Superior for his lighting design for “Descendants: The Musical" and "Xanadu" at both the state and international level. Along with lighting, Jack has also been a member of our marketing team for the past three years mainly focusing in photography and videography. This is his second year as a Cappies Critic for NCA and BRC. Outside of theater Jack is a member of the National Honors Society, a WINGS mentor, a part of Rockapella, a member of the Lego Club, and the editor-in-chief of the Rock Ridge yearbook. Jack hopes to encourage others to be the best they can be by leading with a positive attitude. |
Maggie Miller Chief content officer Maggie Miller is a Junior at Rock Ridge High School and loves participating in all aspects of theater with Rock Ridge Performing Arts. This is Maggie's second year serving on the leadership team at RRPA. She is honored to be leading the marketing team as the marketing chair after serving as a member since her Freshman year. She has acted in several shows with RRPA with her favorite playing “Lavender” in Matilda The Musical last spring. She also is a technical design and production student who has served as the master electrician for over 5 shows. Through RRPA Maggie has found her passion for directing, last year she directed the freshman one-act “The Attack of the Cafeteria Zombies,” Co-directed “Anonymous” and Assistant Directed “The Trench”. This is also Maggie's second year serving as a Cappies Critic for both NCA and BRC. In choir, she is an active member of Rock Ridge Sings, serving as the Middle School Liaison on the Choir Board, singing in their Chamber Choir, and the acapella group “Rockapella.” Outside of the arts, Maggie is a member of SCA as the Spirit Director, a WINGS mentor, a part of the Yearbook staff, and a loves being involved in the Lego club and juice club. Maggie is very excited about this year and is looking forward to spreading positivity throughout the company! |
Olivia Helfen Chief operations officer Olivia is a senior at Rock Ridge. They have been a part of RRPA since their freshman year and love to perform and build on tech. This is her third year on leadership and she loves to help and inspire joy in the community. Olivia loves to write and watch movies, as well as embrace their creativity through the arts. They have been a part of every show since Peter Pan: a Steampunk Adaptation and will continue to be a part of them until her graduation. |
Javaria Sohail chief operations officer Javaria is a senior at Rock Ridge and has been on leadership since her junior year. Having joined RRPA late freshman year as Big Fish tech crew, she has since performed as a costume designer in Scared Silly, Xanadu, and Matilda. She is currently the lead costume designer for Big Fish and The Trench. Besides costumes, Besides leadership and design, Javaria serves as a graphic designer and the webmaster on the marketing team. She is also acting in RRPA's production of The Trench. Outside of theatre, Javaria is a part of ITS, NHS, NEHS, Rho Kappa, MSA, and a couple of other clubs. She hopes to pursue architecture in the future. Javaria is very excited to help RRPA shine during season 9! |
Kate Rood chief membership officer Kate Rood is a sophomore at Rock Ridge High School. She loves all aspects of theater including performing on stage and working behind the scenes. She has performed in Rock Ridge Broadway Bound Summer Camps, and in her freshman year she performed in Class Acts and Matilda. Later this year, you can see her in Big Fish: High School Edition in December, where she is also a special effects designer for the show. Kate worked as a member of tech crew during Xanadu, and originally became involved in special effects during Matilda. Kate serves as a member of the Leadership, Design, and Cappies team at RRPA. Kate is excited for another year of fun with her RRPA community! |
Annabelle Monte chief membership officer Annabelle Monte is a proud sophomore at Rock Ridge High School. She has performed in Rock Ridge Broadway Bound and community theatre productions since age 10. During her freshman year, Annabelle performed onstage in Matilda and Class Acts, and worked behind the scenes as tech crew for Xanadu and as a special effects designer for Matilda. Currently, Annabelle is one of the special effects designers, and will be performing as Dr. Bennett in RRPA’s Big Fish: High School Edition. This year, Annabelle also serves as a Cappies critic, a member of the marketing team, and is a member of Rock Ridge Sings Chamber Choir. She hopes to professionally pursue musical theatre in college and as a career. Annabelle is excited to be a part of and further contribute to the RRPA community. |
Olivia McMahon chief brand ambassador Olivia has been in theatre since she was young and is happy to be doing for her third year of RRPA! She has been in HSM2, Class Acts, Matilda, and Anonymous at Rock Ridge and is excited for Big Fish, The Trench, and Bring It On in the Spring. She loves to dance, sing, and act and hopes to pursue theatre in the future. Ofelia Goldberg events manager Ofelia's theater experience started in middle school. However, she has recently been involved in the technical aspects such as taking on the roles of light board operator for the show Matilda and master electrician for Big Fish. She is very thankful to RRPA and the opportunity they have given her to grow her skills and hopes to be a light designer for a show in the future. |
Danny Fortuno Creative director Daniel Fortuno is a senior at Rock Ridge High School. Daniel has an extensive background in fine arts and has been passionate about art and design from an early age. He has been in many productions for Rock Ridge Performing Arts as a technical design and production student. Daniel is passionate about many fields in art and design with his main one being scenic design. Daniel hopes to pursue a MFA in scenic design in college. Daniel began his technical design and production journey in “Peter Pan: A Steampunk Adaptation” as a charge artist freshman year and began his scenic design journey in “Xanadu” as the scenic designer. Daniel has been a charge artist, scenic designer, assistant scenic designer, front-of-house designer, and costume designer during his time at Rock Ridge Performing Arts. He has also been on paint and build crew. He is now currently working as the scenic designer for “Big Fish School Edition.” Daniel has won the Technical Design and Production student of the year and the Art Student of the year as well during his high school journey. Along with being on leadership and being a technical design and production student, Daniel is the President of the National Art Honors Society, is joining the National Honors Society, a member of the Pop Culture club, and a member of the Lego Club. Daniel strives for excellence in his work and sets a high stander of quality in art and design. Daniel will continue to be a leader in the company and share his knowledge through his own experiences with others |
Pranjal Deshmukh middle school liason Pranjal Deshmukh is currently a sophomore in Rock Ridge and is a member of RRPA, 2 years running. She has been apart of dance since she was 3 as well as Theatre since age 9. You might have see her in Matilda and cannot be more excited to be part of Rock Ridge Performing Arts production of Big Fish this winter. |
Jaden Thomas middle school liason Jaden has been doing theatre since 7th grade before Covid hit. Doing theatre is so much fun and it’s her happy place. Matilda was her first play and she was a classroom kid. She did a stage fighting clinic and a dance clinic while she was in New York. What was really cool was she got to learn Masquerade from Phantom of the Opera. |
Hayley Sutton big & little chair Hayley has been involved in the performing arts since the age of two. She is a competition dancer at the Dance Academy of Loudoun. Her favorite styles of dance are Broadway jazz, tap, and musical theatre. She has been in many RRPA productions, from the Broadway Bound summer camps to the high school shows. Some of her biggest achievements include being nominated for a Cappie as “best dancer in a male role,” receiving the Powerpack scholarship at Starquest Dance Competition, and being awarded the Bryn Wertz Foundation scholarship. Hayley is so happy to be on leadership this year! |
Ginny McGee tech theatre class rep Ginny McGee is a sophomore at Rock Ridge High School and is a part of the Technical Theater team with RRPA. Ginny has her hands in a lot of the components backstage but what you might remember her for is her Xanadu centaur or her Lion King Jr. puppet designs. She also was the props designer for Matilda and Anonymous. Ginny even tried acting in Class Acts! This year she is excited to join leadership and be the scenic designer for Trench. Outside of RRPA, Ginny is on the council for Latin club and serves as the secretary for the Community of Care club. When she is not at school, you can always find her in her sewing studio! |
Julia Freeman DE Theatre/history class rep Julia is a senior at Rock Ridge and has been a part of RRPA since her freshman year. Some her favorite roles on the Rock Ridge stage include Tinkerbell, Margot, and Ms. Honey. She was a part of Big Fish her freshman year and can't wait to share the beautiful story as a senior playing a little lamb and helps as a student choreographer. She is a part of RRPA leadership and marketing as well as the International Thespian Society. This past year she earned a superior at ITF on her monologues and was showcased at VTF. She is in chamber choir, Tri-M Music Honors Society, and is enjoying the new United Sound elective at Rock Ridge. She hopes to pursue a BFA in either musical theatre or acting in college and is grateful for all of the incredible opportunities RRPA has provided to prepare her for a career in the arts and the family it created. |
Kaia Greene MUSICAL THEATRE CLASS REP SCHOOL BOARD CHAIR Kaia is a Junior and an active member of RRPA, marketing, Tri-M, Choir Board and more! She has been a part of performing arts since she was five and has always had a love for the stage. She has been in every mainstage production at Rock Ridge since freshman year and was proud to help the program rebuild after Covid. Currently Kaia is excited to vocal direct Rock Ridge's “Big Fish” where she also will play Sandra and help with sound design for The Trench. She's always willing to try something new and is proud that she is able to use her voice to speak up and advocate for others. Kaia absolutely loves being a part of RRPA and pushing the boundaries of creation. She can't wait to accomplish even more in the upcoming year and plans to continue her passion for music in college. |
