Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen's most beloved stories, Disney's The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home — and her fins — behind and live in the world above. But first, she'll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she's the girl whose enchanting voice he's been seeking.
The talented 4th to 9th Grade Cast has been hard at work, bringing the beloved characters and iconic songs to life on stage. Join the Nationally and Internationally recognized award winning theatre program, as they embark on an incredible opportunity for our young performers within the community. This award winning theatre education program is offering the opportunity for children to explore, create, innovate and perform through a two week "Broadway Bound" Summer Program at Rock Ridge High School. Over the course of two weeks, students will learn about theatre, music, and dance, while rehearsing for and preparing a production. Additionally, students will take workshops and classes in improvisation, character creation, auditioning skills, technical theatre, and play-writing. This two week Broadway Bound program is perfect for rising 4th through 9th grade students with beginner to advanced skills.
